Chèque service in Ticino: no cantonal scheme, but PrAmAsSa exists - how to declare your domestic worker (2026)
Ticino is not part of the Romandie «chèque emploi» network and has no cantonally subsidised chèque service like Geneva's. A private office does offer an equivalent service, though: PrAmAsSa in Ponte Capriasca, which brands itself on its own site as «Procedura Amministrativa Assegni Salariali - Chèque-emploi». The official route stays open as well: whoever hires a cleaner, caregiver or nanny in Ticino declares the employment directly to the Istituto delle assicurazioni sociali (IAS) in Bellinzona, via the simplified settlement procedure. This guide covers both routes, what they cost and how to register step by step.
A cantonal chèque service?
No. Ticino has none.
Private help?
PrAmAsSa, from CHF 150 per year.
The official route?
IAS Bellinzona, form 111.
Register from when?
From the first franc of wage.
Ticino has no cantonally subsidised chèque service, and the canton is not part of the Coordination suisse des Chèques-emploi. A private office, PrAmAsSa in Ponte Capriasca, does offer an equivalent service. You can also register yourself, directly with the Istituto delle assicurazioni sociali (IAS) in Bellinzona, via the simplified settlement procedure.
- The Coordination suisse des Chèques-emploi lists seven organizations, all in French-speaking Switzerland (Fribourg, Geneva, Jura, Bernese Jura, Neuchâtel, Valais, Vaud). PrAmAsSa in Ticino is not a member of that network.
- The duties are the same as everywhere: AVS from the first franc, UVG accident insurance, BVG pension above CHF 22,680.
- Clino guides you step by step in 5 languages, Italian included - CHF 19.90/month.
Chèque service in Ticino: what exists and what doesn't
What does not exist: a chèque service subsidised by the canton, as in Geneva. Ticino is also not part of the Coordination suisse des Chèques-emploi, which lists seven organizations, all in French-speaking Switzerland (Fribourg, Geneva, Jura, Bernese Jura, Neuchâtel, Valais, Vaud). What does exist: a private offering. PrAmAsSa (pramassa.ch) is active in Ticino in 2026 and describes itself on its own homepage as «Procedura Amministrativa Assegni Salariali - Chèque-emploi». The service is aimed at private households employing a cleaner, a home help, a companion (dama di compagnia), a babysitter or an occasional employee, and it handles affiliation and the year-end settlements for AVS/AI/APG/AC, family allowances, withholding tax and occupational accident insurance, the latter in collaboration with Vaudoise.
PrAmAsSa is run by the office of Daniela Gübeli and Corinne Pintos, Via Roncaccio 1, 6946 Ponte Capriasca. Its published 2026 fee: 7% of gross salary, a minimum of CHF 150 and a maximum of CHF 500 per employee per calendar year; for two employees, a maximum of CHF 650 per year. Its legal form, ownership, any non-profit status and its UID are not publicly stated (the site has no impressum), and whether the service covers all of Ticino is not publicly stated either. So this is a private provider, not a state, cantonal or subsidised offering. Anyone who prefers it still goes straight to the cantonal compensation fund, the IAS in Bellinzona: the simplified settlement procedure for private households exists across Switzerland, and in Ticino it runs entirely in Italian.
What that means for your budget: PrAmAsSa charges a percentage with a high floor. CHF 150 per employee per year is due even for a very small engagement; on an annual wage of CHF 1'000 that is 15% of the wage. The higher the wage, the smaller the share, because the fee is capped at CHF 500 per employee per year. Clino costs CHF 19.90 per month, that is CHF 238.80 per year, regardless of the wage. In francs: up to roughly CHF 3'400 of gross annual wage PrAmAsSa is cheaper, above that Clino is. If you want to hand over affiliation, the year-end settlement and occupational accident insurance entirely, in Italian and to an office inside the canton, PrAmAsSa may suit you better, especially for a few hours a week. Transparency note: this comparison is published by Clino, that is by one of the two options.
What does the admin cost in Ticino?
Set the monthly wage - the service fees per year, compared.
= CHF 9'600 gross wage per year (12 monthly wages)
7% of the gross wage, min. CHF 150, max. CHF 500 per year
CHF 19.90 per month, independent of the wage
No service fee, but your time: forms, deadlines, the year-end settlement
At this wage Clino is cheaper. Below around CHF 3'411 gross wage per year, PrAmAsSa would be cheaper.
Transparency note: this comparison is published by Clino. Both services take the admin off your hands; the direct route via the IAS is always open.

How to declare your domestic worker in Ticino
Affiliation runs via the IAS's form 111: the «Questionario per l'affiliazione alla procedura di conteggio semplificata» - the questionnaire for joining the simplified procedure as a private employer of household staff. You send it by post or e-mail; wage declarations then run through the AVSeasy online portal or by post.
Declaring in Ticino - step by step
Draw up a written employment contract with your worker.
Fill in the IAS's form 111 and send it by post or e-mail to Bellinzona.
Sort out UVG accident insurance: at point 6 of the form you can take it out directly via the compensation fund («procedura di conteggio semplificata Plus»).
Above CHF 22,680 annual salary: affiliate a BVG pension fund.
Settle the contributions via AVSeasy and file the wage declaration at year-end.

The competent fund: IAS Bellinzona
Istituto delle assicurazioni sociali (IAS), Via Ghiringhelli 15a, 6501 Bellinzona - tel. +41 91 821 91 11. Forms and information at www4.ti.ch/dss/ias; the online settlement portal is called AVSeasy. The IAS charges a 1.5% administrative-cost contribution, calculated on the AVS/AI/APG contribution due and not on the wage.
Anatomy
Watch out for point 6 of form 111
If you do not yet have accident insurance for your employee, the form asks whether you want to take it out directly via the compensation fund («procedura di conteggio semplificata Plus»). Both are needed: answer «sì» at point 6 AND sign the confirmation at point 10. If you name no insurer at all, the IAS reports you to the UVG substitute fund (Cassa suppletiva), which assigns you an insurer ex officio.
Modulo 111
IAS Bellinzona · simplified settlement procedure
No accident insurance yet? Answer point 6 with «sì» - it then runs directly through the compensation office (the «Plus» variant).
The «sì» alone is not enough: the confirmation at point 10 must be signed as well. Both together, or it does not count.
Pick no insurer at all and the UVG substitute fund assigns you one ex officio - dearer, and without a choice.
What always holds
PrAmAsSa, Clino or the IAS: the employer is you. From the first franc of wage.
Your worker lives in Italy? The cross-border case
In Ticino this is everyday life: the worker lives in Italy and crosses the border daily on a G permit. Contrary to what is often assumed, the simplified procedure applies to cross-border workers from Italy like anyone else - no special procedure needed. Under the simplified procedure you withhold 5% source tax from the wage; the corresponding confirmation is already part of form 111.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a chèque service in Ticino?
Not a cantonal one: Ticino is not part of the Coordination suisse des Chèques-emploi (seven organizations, all in French-speaking Switzerland) and has no subsidised chèque service. On the private side, PrAmAsSa in Ponte Capriasca offers an equivalent service at 7% of gross salary, minimum CHF 150 and maximum CHF 500 per employee per year. You can in any case register yourself with the Istituto delle assicurazioni sociali (IAS) in Bellinzona.
Where do I declare my cleaner or caregiver in Ticino?
With the IAS in Bellinzona (Via Ghiringhelli 15a), using form 111 for the simplified settlement procedure - by post or e-mail. Wage settlements then run through the AVSeasy portal or by post.

The AVS obligation applies from the first franc in a private household - there is no minimum threshold (the CHF 750 figure only applies to employees under 25). Declaration is also possible retroactively.
My worker is a cross-border commuter from Italy - does that change anything?
Little: with a G permit the simplified procedure applies as normal. You withhold 5% source tax from the wage - the confirmation is already included in the IAS's form 111.
