How to register
AK Bern uses the federal form 318.147. You fill it in online. At the end, AK Bern must be selected as the recipient.

The Bern compensation office sends an invitation to file the wage report at the end of November. You file it through the ePortal, by 30 January at the latest. No paper form arrives automatically: if you cannot file online, you have to request one from the office.

Board and lodging count toward the wage limit
For the wage limit, the office always looks at the annual gross wage subject to AHV. Wages in kind, such as board and lodging, are subject to AHV and are added. For irregular work, the annual gross wage reported at year end decides.

In the simplified procedure you do not prepare a salary certificate. Once your wage report has been processed, the office automatically sends your employee a tax confirmation.
