What the office costs

Admin fee: 4 % of the AHV/IV/EO contributions.

On CHF 10,000 annual wage that is about CHF 42.40 a year.

If you file online: The fund publishes two rates side by side: 4.00% as the basic tariff and 3.00% for employers who declare through AHVeasy. Both apply to the AHV/IV/EO contributions.

For comparison: across the 26 offices the same amount ranges from CHF 14.84 to CHF 53.00. Compare all offices →

  • Family allowance contribution: 1.35 % of the wage, paid by you as the employer.
  • Child allowance: CHF 330 per child and month.

During the year

  • You report wages through the AHVeasy portal or by post.
  • Annual declaration: by 30 January for the previous year. The office then invoices the contributions.

Our experience with AK Zug

What we learned filling in the forms, from the office's own information and documents, and with our customers. Always with date and source.

  1. Office documents

The office sends the salary certificate

Under the simplified procedure you do not issue a salary certificate. AK Zug puts it this way: «Der jährliche Lohnausweis kommt direkt von der Ausgleichskasse.» (the annual salary certificate comes directly from the compensation office). The office later confirmed this to us in writing.

  2. Information from the office

    AHVeasy lowers the administration fee

The administration fee is calculated as a percentage of the AHV/IV/EO contributions, not as a percentage of the wage. If you file the wage declaration electronically through AHVeasy, a lower rate applies than on paper.

  3. Information from the office

    Wage declaration by 30 January

The wage declaration for the previous year is due by 30 January. AHVeasy is optional, and AK Zug still accepts paper.

  4. Information from the office

VAV+ with accident cover from SOLIDA

On akzug.ch the package is called «Vereinfachtes Verfahren Plus». The accident insurance then runs through SOLIDA. The office settles the withholding tax for you under both VAV and VAV+.
