How to register

WAS Luzern uses the federal form 318.147. You fill it in online. At the end, WAS Luzern must be selected as the recipient.

The confirmation with your settlement number then arrives by post.
Accident insurance: WAS Luzern offers the simplified procedure plus. You must choose it explicitly when you register.

What the office costs

Admin fee: 1.4 % of the AHV/IV/EO contributions.

On CHF 10,000 annual wage that is about CHF 14.84 a year.

Family allowance contribution: 1.355 % of the wage, paid by you as the employer.
Child allowance: CHF 215 per child and month, from age 12 CHF 260.
Education allowance: CHF 268 per child and month.

During the year

You report wages through the connect portal or by post.
Annual declaration: by 30 January for the previous year. The office then invoices the contributions.

WAS Luzern has its own page «Haushalte mit Angestellten» at was-luzern.ch/hausdienst. It compares the billing procedures in a table and is not linked from the registration page. It also says that in the simplified procedure you issue no salary certificate: the compensation office issues your employee a statement.

No more discount for digital wage reports
Until 2025, Lucerne gave a discount on the administrative fee when the wage report was filed digitally. WAS Luzern abolished it from 2026. Its dated notice of 19 December 2025 is what counts, even if older texts still mention the discount.

Form tested
connect Luzern is a separate account
In Lucerne, the wage report goes through the WAS portal «connect». Other offices use a portal with the same name, but the logins are separate. A connect account from another canton does not work in Lucerne.

Since 8 June 2026, WAS Luzern has been at Langsägestrasse 13 in Kriens (Eichhof West). Use this address if you send anything to the office by post.
