Pick «Privathaushalt» (private household) as the registration reason. IBAN, bank name and account holder are required fields, so have your bank details ready.
Employees
Enter the start date and the estimated monthly gross wage total (times 12 or times 13). This is also where you choose the simplified procedure.
Your employees' details
Unlike the federal form, Aargau asks for your cleaner's AHV number (756.) and birth date already at registration. Have both ready beforehand.
Online platform connect
Finally you activate the connect portal for later wage declarations. At the end you receive a PDF copy of your registration.
Honest note on costs: SVA Aargau charges a 3.0% administration fee on the contributions, which puts Aargau mid-range for Switzerland, the legal maximum rate is 5%. All the more reason for the declared wage total to be right: Clino prepares the figures from your monthly payroll, you only enter them.

There is no cantonal minimum wage in Aargau. The minimum wage of the federal NAV for household work is binding: CHF 20.35 an hour unskilled, CHF 22.30 with 4 years' experience or an EBA, CHF 24.55 with an EFZ. It applies from 5 hours a week with the same household.
What child allowances apply in the Canton of Aargau?

What is the simplified procedure (VAV) in Aargau?
Under the simplified procedure you settle AHV/IV/EO, unemployment insurance and a 5 % withholding tax once a year through the compensation office (SVA Aargau). It is optional and applies up to CHF 22'680 of annual wage per person. Accident insurance (UVG) is only included if you choose the plus option when you register. Otherwise you take it out yourself with an insurer.
What happens if I don't register my cleaner in Aargau?
An employer who does not join a compensation office and settle the wages commits an offence under the AHV Act: a monetary penalty of up to 180 daily units (Art. 87 AHVG). On top come the social insurance contributions, as a rule back-dated up to 5 years.
