- Dealing with the authorities: quitt files the declarations itself, with Clino you sign and submit them
- Cheapest plan: Comfort up to ~CHF 1,400 monthly wage, Flat above that
- Save up to CHF 120 with code CLINOCH
- Cheaper alternative: Clino at CHF 19.90/month flat, 0% commission

What is quitt.ch?
quitt.ch is a Swiss online service that handles the entire administration of your domestic worker. That means: AHV registration, monthly payroll, social insurance, accident insurance and year-end accounting - all from one place.
Behind quitt.ch is ServiceHunter AG, based at Birmensdorferstrasse 94, 8003 Zurich. The company is one of the pioneers in this space and has been operating since 2010. This makes quitt.ch one of the most established providers for household employment in Switzerland.
The service is aimed at individuals who want to legally employ a cleaner, nanny, babysitter or other domestic help without dealing with the paperwork themselves.
How quitt.ch works
The process at quitt.ch has four steps:
Register
You create an account on quitt.ch and enter your domestic worker's details (name, address, AHV number, wage, workload).
quitt registers
quitt handles the AHV registration with the relevant compensation office. For the Comfort and Flat plans, you grant quitt a power of attorney so they can act on your behalf.
Monthly payroll
Each month you enter the hours worked. quitt creates the payslip with all deductions (AHV, ALV, UVG, withholding tax if applicable) and sends you an invoice.
Year-end accounting
At year-end, quitt prepares the salary certificate and handles the final settlement with the compensation office. This ensures you are ready for your tax return.
Important: The Comfort and Flat plans work with power of attorney. This means quitt acts directly with the compensation office on your behalf. The Start plan has more limited service.
quitt.ch Pricing and Plans 2026
quitt.ch offers three plans. Comfort and Flat apply per calendar year (January to December) and per employee, Start is billed per month. The commission is a percentage of the gross wage you pay your domestic worker, not of a service price. The Start plan's first month is free, and quitt gives a 60-day money-back guarantee on all plans.
| Plan | Price | Commission | Best for | Cancellation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Start | CHF 10/month per employee | 8% on gross wage | Short-term employment, low wages | Monthly cancellable |
| ComfortBestseller | CHF 150/year | 5% on gross wage | Monthly wages under CHF 1,400 | Calendar year |
| Flat | CHF 990/year | 0% - no commission | Monthly wages over CHF 1,400 | Calendar year |
As of 14.08.2026, checked on quitt's own pricing pages. Comfort and Flat are billed per calendar year (January-December), Start per month. Information without guarantee.

When does each plan make sense?
The right plan depends on your domestic worker's monthly wage. Here is an overview of annual costs:
Gross wage per month: CHF 540 (4 h x 4.5 weeks x CHF 30)
| Gross wage 12 x CHF 540.00 | 6'480.00 |

| Monthly wage (gross) | Start/year | Comfort/year | Flat/year | Cheapest plan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CHF 500 | CHF 600 | CHF 450 | CHF 990 | Comfort |
| CHF 1’000 | CHF 1,080 | CHF 750 | CHF 990 | Comfort |
| CHF 1’450 | CHF 1,512 | CHF 1,020 | CHF 990 | Flat |
| CHF 2’000 | CHF 1,668 | CHF 1,350 | CHF 990 | Flat |
| CHF 3’000 | CHF 1,668 | CHF 1,950 | CHF 990 | Flat |
Example calculation: Start at CHF 1,000 gross wage: CHF 10 × 12 + (CHF 1,000 × 8% × 12) = CHF 120 + CHF 960 = CHF 1,080/year. Comfort: CHF 150 + (CHF 1,000 × 5% × 12) = CHF 150 + CHF 600 = CHF 750/year.
From a monthly wage of around CHF 1,400, the Flat plan becomes cheaper than Comfort. Only for very low wages (under roughly CHF 85/month) is the Start plan cheaper than Comfort – in practice, Start makes more sense for short-term employment than for its wage level. In between, Comfort is usually the best choice.
Keep in mind: All plans are billed per calendar year. If you start in July, you still pay the full annual price for Comfort and Flat.
The subscription is not the whole price
Alongside the service fee, quitt runs the insurance premiums through the same payslip. Three items, one example household:
Example
CHF 2'500 gross per month, so CHF 30'000 a year. Cheapest plan at this wage: quitt Flat.
- Flat subscriptionto quittCHF 990
- Occupational accident (BU), 0.423%to the insurerCHF 127
- Daily sickness allowance: CHF 49 plus half the premiumfee to quitt, premium to the insurerCHF 394
The KTG is in here because the wage is above the BVG entry threshold: the agreement with quitt's pension fund then requires it. Below the threshold this item disappears.
Your employee additionally carries non-occupational accident cover of CHF 371 and the other half of the KTG premium, CHF 345. Deductions from her wage, not your cost.
In fairness: at 0.423%, quitt's accident tariff is below the compensation offices' VAVplus tariff (0.505%). On accident cover they are cheaper. quitt states it passes premiums on 1:1 without a margin.

Price comparison 2026: quitt vs. Clino vs. KLARA Home vs. fairboss
Four providers, four pricing models. The table shows what a year of service costs at a gross wage of CHF 1,000 per month - social contributions come on top with every provider and are identical; the state sets them.
| Provider | Pricing model | Service cost/year at CHF 1,000 monthly wage | Commission | Who files with the authorities? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| quitt.ch | Subscription plus commission on the gross wage (three plans) | CHF 750 (Comfort) | 8% / 5% / 0% depending on the plan | quitt files the declarations with the authorities for you. |
| Clino | Flat rate per month, cancel monthly | CHF 238.80 | 0% | Clino prepares every form and calculation; you sign and submit them yourself. |
| KLARA Home | Price per payroll run | CHF 94.80 | 0% | You file with the authorities yourself. |
| fairboss.ch | Free basic tier, Premium as an annual subscription | CHF 0 / CHF 39.90 | 0% | You file with the authorities yourself. |
Basis: 12 monthly wages of CHF 1,000 gross. quitt: cheapest plan at this wage. KLARA Home: 12 payroll runs; the mandatory occupational accident insurance adds the CHF 100/year KLARA states for it - accident premiums are separate with every provider. fairboss: Basic free, Premium optional.

quitt.ch Experiences: What Do Users Say?
quitt.ch has built a large user base over the years. Reviews paint a predominantly positive picture. Here are the key themes:
Ease of use
Many users highlight how straightforward the process is. Registration is quick, monthly payroll requires just a few clicks, and you don't have to wrestle with compensation office forms yourself.
Good document templates
Employers appreciate the ready-made document templates. Employment contracts and other documents are professionally prepared and save a trip to the lawyer.
Fast support
Customer service is described as friendly and responsive. Especially when unexpected situations arise (employee illness, accidents), users feel well supported.
Legal peace of mind
Both employers and employees report feeling on the safe side with quitt.ch. Proper contracts, orderly insurance and clean accounting give both sides peace of mind.
Employee perspective
Domestic workers also speak positively. They can view their payslips, have proper employment contracts and know their social insurance contributions are being handled correctly.
Some users note that communication around billing and annual costs could sometimes be clearer. Overall, however, positive feedback clearly outweighs the rest.

Who files with the authorities? quitt does more here than Clino
This is the point where quitt.ch does more than Clino, and a genuine reason to choose quitt. quitt declares the gross wages processed over a calendar year with the compensation office, the tax office and the insurers in January of the following year, handles the correspondence with those bodies, and takes out the mandatory accident insurance for each employment relationship. With Clino it works differently, and that belongs in any honest comparison.
quitt.ch
quitt files the declarations with the authorities for you.
quitt registers employer and employee with the relevant authority and deals with the paperwork that follows. On Comfort and Flat it does so under a power of attorney, in your name.
Clino
Clino prepares every form and calculation; you sign and submit them yourself.
Clino works without a power of attorney on purpose. We calculate, fill in and hand you every document ready to sign, but none of it is transmitted by us: not to the compensation office, not to an insurer, not to a tax office. Your employer relationship runs directly between you and your compensation office.
| Point | quitt.ch | Clino |
|---|---|---|
| Filing and correspondence with authorities | quitt declares and corresponds on your behalf | Everything prepared; you sign and submit |
| Power of attorney | Required for Comfort and Flat | None, everything stays in your name |
| Free trial | First month free (Start) plus 60 days money back | 30 days free, cancel monthly |
| Price | CHF 10/month + 8%, CHF 150/year + 5% or CHF 990/year + 0% of the gross wage | CHF 19.90/month, no commission |
So who should pick what? If you want to hand the dealings with the authorities over completely and are happy to pay a commission for it, quitt is the better fit, especially with several employees or little time. If two or three signatures and a trip to the postbox a year are fine, Clino costs CHF 19.90 a month with no commission and every document stays in your hands.

Frequently asked questions about quitt.ch
Is quitt.ch worth it?+
Yes, if you want to hand off all administration around your domestic worker, quitt.ch is a solid choice. The service is established, covers everything and has good support. However, Clino offers a more affordable alternative (CHF 19.90/month flat vs Comfort CHF 150 + 5% commission).
Can I switch from quitt.ch to Clino?+
Yes, switching is possible at any time. You simply register your domestic worker with Clino. The existing AHV registration stays in place - you only change the administration service.
What happens at year-end with quitt.ch?+
quitt.ch prepares the salary certificate and handles the final settlement with the compensation office. You receive all documents for your tax return.
Is there a free trial at quitt.ch?+
With the Start plan, the first month is free. Comfort and Flat have no separate trial period, but there is a 60-day money-back guarantee. Clino offers 30 days free.
How do I cancel quitt.ch?+
The Start plan can be cancelled monthly. Comfort and Flat run per calendar year. Cancellation is possible at year-end.
Do I need a power of attorney for quitt.ch?+
For the Comfort and Flat plans, yes. You grant quitt.ch a power of attorney so they can act on your behalf with the compensation office. This is not required for the Start plan.
Which quitt plan is the cheapest?+
It depends on the monthly wage: up to about CHF 1,400 Comfort is cheapest, above that Flat (CHF 990 fixed, 0% commission). Start mainly makes sense for short-term employment, because it can be cancelled monthly and the first month is free. Its 8% runs on the full gross wage. With code CLINOCH you save up to CHF 120 on top.
Does quitt file with the authorities and Clino does not?+
That is exactly right, and it is quitt's clearest advantage. quitt declares the annual wages with the compensation office, the tax office and the insurers in January of the following year and handles the correspondence with them, on Comfort and Flat under your power of attorney. Clino prepares every form and calculation; you sign and submit them yourself, and we transmit nothing to any compensation office, insurer or tax authority. If you want to hand that step over, quitt serves you better.
