The salary certificate for your household employee, in two minutes

Once a year your employee needs this document for her tax return. Enter the year's figures, we work out the deductions and you download the finished PDF.

Calculate, or type in?

Both produce the same PDF. The only difference is where the deductions come from.

The calculation uses the 2026 contribution rates. For a different year, switch to “I have the figures” above.

Who, and for what period

The year's figures

What you actually paid out over the course of the year.

Everything you transferred or paid in cash, before deductions. Holiday and public-holiday supplements belong here.

Only for employees who live or eat at your home. Otherwise leave empty.

Your name, the employee's name and the gross wage are still missing.

Why you have to issue it

Employing someone in a private household makes you an employer, and that includes the salary certificate for the year just ended. Your employee attaches it to her tax return. Without it she cannot declare her income properly, and you have no evidence that contributions were settled correctly. This tool produces the document following the structure of the official Form 11.

When is it due?

In practice in January and February, once the wage year is closed. If the employment ends mid-year, you issue the certificate for the period worked rather than waiting for the next January. Some compensation offices issue it themselves under the simplified procedure, others leave it to you. What applies in your canton is shown below.
