Your situation

Enter hours and hourly wage — the Clino and manual DIY costs are calculated directly (same legal basis, only who handles the paperwork differs). For the agency, enter your own quote so the comparison doesn't rely on made-up numbers.

Estimate based on your inputs (employer-side AHV/IV/EO, ALV, UVG-BU, 8.33% holiday supplement). Not a binding offer — your actual cost depends on canton, years of service and the individual case.

Rough guidance

For an ongoing role without wanting to handle admin yourself, direct employment with support (e.g. Clino) usually fits — you keep control without doing the paperwork. For an ongoing role where you want to handle the admin yourself, manual direct employment fits — the same cost as Clino, but the work sits with you.

For direct employment: which registration procedure applies, which insurance and which compensation office is responsible.

Frequently asked questions

Is direct employment with Clino more expensive than doing it manually?

Only by the flat CHF 19.90/month fee. Wage, holiday supplement and social contributions are identical — the difference is who handles registration, payroll and the year-end statement.

Is an agency always more expensive than direct employment?

Not necessarily, it depends on the case. Agencies bundle staffing, cover for absences and admin into their price — compare against your own quote, not a general figure.

Why isn't cash simply cheaper?

The legal wage and AHV obligation don't change just because nothing is registered. There's no real discount, only exposure if there's a later audit or an accident without insurance.

Can I switch models later?

Yes. Many start manual or cash and switch to Clino once the workload becomes noticeable, or the other way round once they feel confident with the procedure.
