What stays, what changes
Stays: the employment
Your employee's contract, wage and AHV number stay the same. The switch only changes who prepares the admin.
Stays: the compensation office
Your registration with the compensation office continues. We show you whether and what to report there.
Changes: payroll
From the takeover month, Clino prepares payslips and the annual declaration, and in the ordinary procedure also the salary certificate. Prepared by us, confirmed by you.
Review: insurance
Existing accident insurance policies can often continue. Your switch plan shows what you can keep and where a new policy is cheaper.
Switching on 1 January 2027: the steps and dates
Using quitt as the example. With a yearly plan, 1 January is the cleanest date: the old provider finishes the past year, the new one starts with Clino.

Cancel quitt
By e-mail, phone or in the customer area, no form and no notice period. quitt does not refund fees already paid pro rata.
December 2026
Send the compensation office a short note
The employment continues; from 1 January you run payroll yourself. Ask whether your account number stays the same. Worth doing, because quitt deregisters the employment with the authorities at year end.
From 1.1.2027
Clino takes over
Upload an old payslip: Clino reads name, wage, hours and holidays right in your browser. If you are already registered with the compensation office, you only enter your account number. Only employers not yet affiliated with any office need to register.
January 2027
quitt declares the 2026 wages
quitt declares all wages up to the end of the contract to the office and then revokes its powers of attorney itself. Do not declare these wages again: two declarations under the same number cause discrepancies. Your quitt account and all documents stay accessible.
By 30.1.2028
Your first own annual declaration
You declare the 2027 wages to your compensation office by 30 January 2028. Clino prepares the declaration, you submit it. In the simplified procedure the office sends your employee the tax certificate, so no salary certificate is needed.
Mid-year? If wages have already been booked with quitt this year, quitt says the plan can only end for the following year. While the contract runs, quitt's terms rule out your own filings with the office, and a move to the simplified procedure is only possible at the start of a year. Tell us in the form when your plan ends and we will plan the date with you.

Do I have to re-register my household help with the AHV?
No. The registration with the compensation office belongs to you as the employer, not to the software provider. It simply continues when you switch. If your current solution managed something in your name, the switch plan shows you exactly what to report to the office.
What happens with the current year?
If you do the payroll yourself today, you can start with Clino in any month: you add this year's earlier months in one go, and the annual declaration covers the whole year. If a provider already declares this year, the cleanest switch is on 1 January: the old provider finishes the past year, Clino takes over from January and prepares your first own annual declaration. Mid-year, two parties would declare wages for the same year under the same number. That is why we plan the date with you in the switch plan.
Does the switch service cost anything?
No. The switch plan and the support are free. You only pay the normal Clino subscription of CHF 19.90 per month once you actively run payroll.
Does my household help have to do anything?
Almost nothing. Wage, contract and insurance cover stay the same. What is new: she receives her payslip from Clino, in her language if she prefers.
