You do the work. Now make it count.
Working without being registered? Then your pension is not growing, after an accident you first have to prove you work there, and without payslips you do not exist for an apartment or permit. So we prepare a pack and send it to your employer in their language. You do not have to ask for anything.
Everything free. For you always, and for your employer the first 30 days.
Nanny or au pair? Here's what applies to youThe difference, spelled out
Today, undeclared
- Your pension: grows by nothing
- Accident at work: first you have to prove you work there
- Apartment or permit: without payslips you do not count
- Everything depends on their goodwill
With the pack, registered
- AHV: every month counts towards your pension
- Accident: UVG insurance pays
- Official payslip, every month
- Contract, holidays, rights + CHF 50 for you
In Switzerland, a lot of household work goes undeclared. It does not have to stay that way.
households registered under the simplified procedure in 2025. In 2021 it was 98'305.

daily units: the penalty your employer risks
AHVG Art. 87
of AHV can be claimed retroactively
AHVG Art. 16
It is not a favour. It is the law.

Your pension is built now
Every month without AHV is missing from your pension later. Past 5 years, nobody can pay it in any more.
After an accident, proof is what counts
If you fall at work, accident insurance pays, and if there is none, the Ersatzkasse steps in. But without a contract and payslips you first have to prove you worked there.
A payslip says you exist
Apartment, loan, permit: without official payslips, you do not count.
And you do not have to fight alone
We explain it to your employer: with numbers, politely. You fill in 2 minutes.
Childcare has its own rules
The pack works for you too. These four points belong in every nanny contract.
Overtime is paid
If you work more than agreed, the law gives you a 25% supplement or, if you both agree, time off of equal length (Art. 321c OR). Waiving it only counts in writing. Your canton's NAV can set more for Sundays and public holidays.
No banked hours
If the family doesn't need you because they are on holiday or a child is ill, you still get your full wage. Minus hours or "banking hours" are not allowed (Art. 324 OR).
An au pair is not a nanny
Au pair means: at most 30 hours a week, room and board, a language course, and a parent at home at least half the time. If you work more or alone with the children, you are a nanny, even if you live with the family.
Full time means a pension fund
If you earn more than CHF 22'680 a year with one family, the pension fund (BVG) is mandatory. The pack includes it in the numbers for your employer.
Clino's nanny employment contract already includes the overtime and banked-hours clauses.
Typical market rates, according to the Swiss Nanny Association
CHF 5'000–6'500
gross per month, or CHF 25–40 an hour, depending on experience. The minimum wage is a floor, not a recommended rate.

For them it is good news too
We are not asking them a favour. We are taking a problem off their hands. This is what they get:
Their risk is gone
Unregistered, they risk a monetary penalty of up to 180 daily units (Art. 87 AHVG), AHV back-payments and, once it comes out, substitute accident-insurance premiums for up to 5 years. Registered, they are protected.
Hardly any paperwork
Clino prepares the contract, payslips and AHV registration and shows them how to take out accident insurance. 20 minutes once, then a few minutes per month.
They see the honest numbers
The pack works with your wage and your hours: contributions and subscription, nothing glossed over. For a full-time job the pension fund comes on top, and that is in there too.
The letter is friendly and makes no accusations. Most employers simply did not know how easy it is.

Common questions
What if my employer says no?
Then nothing changes and nobody loses anything. The letter is friendly and makes no accusations. Most employers simply do not know how easy and cheap registration is: that is exactly what the pack shows them.
Does this cost me anything?
No. The pack is completely free for you, and you even get CHF 50 once your employer becomes a paying Clino customer. Clino earns through your employer's subscription (CHF 19.90 per month, first 30 days free).
Will I lose money through deductions?
6.4 percent of the gross wage goes to AHV/IV/EO and unemployment insurance; from 8 hours a week, non-occupational accident insurance comes on top. If your employer uses the simplified procedure (usual in households), 5 percent withholding tax is deducted as well, and that settles your taxes on this wage. In return you get: a pension that counts, accident insurance, unemployment insurance and official payslips for an apartment or permit. Many employers cover part of it or round the wage up when they register. With a full-time job the pension fund (BVG) usually comes on top. Your employer pays at least half, and the money stays your own retirement savings.
Will my employer get in trouble because it was undeclared before?
Registering does not trigger any automatic inspection. The earlier you register, the smaller the risk for everyone. Without registration they risk fines and back-payments.
When and how do I get the CHF 50?
As soon as your employer becomes a paying Clino customer after the free trial, we contact you. Payout by TWINT or bank transfer. Several households = CHF 50 per employer.
Will my employer see it comes from me?
Yes, and that is a good thing: the pack honestly says you enjoy working for them and want to make it official. That comes across professional, not demanding. You can adjust your message yourself.
