Your procedure

Which procedure applies to you?

Different rules apply depending on wage, hours and situation. Here's how to place yourself, and Clino adjusts automatically.

Not sure which procedure applies?

Answer five short questions and we'll show you which procedure fits your situation.

See all situations

Simplified settlement procedure

For most private households: annual wage up to CHF 22'680 per person and no more than CHF 60'480 across the whole household. AHV and accident insurance run bundled through the compensation office (VAVplus).

Ordinary settlement procedure

From an annual wage above CHF 22'680 per person. Settlement is done periodically directly with the compensation office, and occupational pension (BVG) usually applies on top.

Retroactive registration

Already employing someone without having registered? You can catch up, declaring the wages already paid retroactively. The sooner, the better.

More than one household employee

Each person is registered individually. For the simplified procedure, the combined wage bill of all employees counts (max. CHF 60'480 per year).

More than eight hours per week

From an average of 8 weekly hours, non-occupational accident insurance (NBU) becomes mandatory. Clino factors the deduction in automatically.

Possible BVG obligation

If the annual wage exceeds CHF 22'680, occupational pension (2nd pillar) usually becomes mandatory. The simplified procedure doesn't cover it, so you'll need a BVG solution.

Honestly

In short: Clino calculates everything correctly and produces every document. The one-time registration with the compensation office and the annual transfer you handle yourself, with our step-by-step guide. In return you pay far less than with most providers.
